Missionaries and Missionary Societies

The following list of missionary endeavours show the variety of missionary opportunities that Clogher Presbyterian has been enabled to support financially and/or in prayer in recent times.  Follow the links provided to investigate further the unique work that each engages in.

Wycliffe Bible Translators work with churches, organisations and individuals from around the world so that all people will have access to God's word in a language that they truly understand.  Locally, Colin and Debbie Mills serve through Wycliffe and on May 18, 2014 we hope to hear from Wycliffe workers on our annual mission Sunday.

Belfast City Mission - As well as door to door evangelism and community out reach the Belfast City Mission maintain 16 Mission Halls across the city.  

Presbyterian Orphans and Children's Society -  The society works along side local ministers to provide practical assistance in cases of material need and sudden crisis.

Child Evangelism Fellowship - CEF work both here in Ireland and abroad.  Locally CEF work with the congregation to offer the Holiday Bible each August with Jonathan Graham (Fermanagh Worker).  Overseas, Ida Johnston working in Lapland has established links with the congregation, regularly speaking on deputation while home.

Kingham Mission - Kinghan Church in Botanic Avenue functions as a worshipping community of deaf and hearing impaired persons and others.

Middle East Reformed Fellowship  - MERF is an evangelical Christian missionary organization which serves in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia on behalf of Reformed and Presbyterian Family of Churches and believers worldwide. 

Care for the Family - Care for the Family is a national charity which aims to promote strongfamily life and to help those who face family difficulties.

Tearfund - The aid agency Tearfund is works through local church partners and disaster response teams in more than 50 countries around the world.

United Appeal - The United Appeal is a unified appeal for the various ministries conduction by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. These include missions to Ireland and overseas, as well social witness and youth & children's among others.

Rev. Alister Torrens - The Rev. Alister Torrens, director of the Evangelical Reformed Seminary Ukraine Online Bible College and native of Garvagh has preached while visiting home.

The Walkers - Clive and Hazel Walker are long term missionaries in Panama, working among the native American people, having formerly served with New Tribes Missions they now serve with Echoes of Service.

The Christian Institute - The Christian Institute is a nondenominational Christian charity committed to upholding the truths of the Bible. The Christian Institute exists for “the furtherance and promotion of the Christian religion in the United Kingdom” and “the advancement of education”.
